Danny began his racing career at the age of 5 in Mini Wedges (a form of GoKarts) at Columbia Speedway in South Carolina.

From 1999 to 2002, Danny won 6 South Carolina State Championships and 5 National World Karting Association (WKA) Championships on both asphalt and pavement. He has competed from New York to Florida and has been one of Go Kart's most prolific winners. Along the way he was awarded WKA's Triple Crown and Holly's Future Star award. All of this was accomplished while maintaining honor standing at school. In December of 1999, The State Newspaper, featured Danny in an article. Click here to read the article.

In 2001, Danny competed in a mustang in the Mini Stock class at Florence Motor Speedway, winning 2 races and finishing 3rd in the points championship in spite of missing several races due to Go Kart commitments. In 2002 Danny competed successfully in the Pro 4 Mod class at Florence Motor Speedway winning the Track Championship by beating many seasoned drivers. Needless to say he captured the "Rookie of the Year" title as well.

2002 Win at Florence Motor Speedway

During 2003 Danny competed in the UARA STARS touring series.  Great Late Model experience was gained on some of the most fabled tracks in the South against the top Late Model drivers in the country.  Danny completed the year with an 8th place points finish - as a 14 year old!
Danny has continued to run Late Models, finally breaking in the winners circle in 2005 and winning 8 times during 2006.  He also won the John Newsome Performance Parts Jamaica Championship in 2006.
During 2007, while adding to the Late Model win tally, Danny had the opertunity to start 3 races in the NASCAR Busch (now Nationwide) series. He out qualifed the teams regular driver all three times in the back up car but only attempted the entire race one time.  That was on the Monster Mile in Dover where a cut tire ended the day prematurely.2007 also saw Danny graduate with Honors from High School and begin college as an Engineering major.
